What to Know About Appeals
If you believe you have special or unusual circumstances that warrant consideration from our office, we will review the following types of appeals:
- Special Circumstances such as:
- Student Cost of Attendance Adjustment Request – Will be made available in August 2024 for the 2024-25 academic year
- Economic Hardship Appeal
- Unusual Circumstance Appeal

NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS, you will be able to access the website that allows you to submit an appeal after you accept your offer of admission and create a CalNet ID. If you need immediate assistance, contact Cal Student Central.
If you are in need of immediate financial assistance, you may be eligible for a short-term emergency loan. Also, please see our food assistance program page if you need access to nutritious food.
